Ye Olde bell wedding

Ok, let’s talk about my style & approach. Let me start by saying I absolutely love weddings! Speaking from experience (14 years happily married to Mrs C!), your wedding day is truly one of the best days of your life. I try to capture the essence of your day – the smiles, touches and those big hugs from friends and family, also the tears, laughter and the natural shots that you don’t even know are being taken. Of course, we’ll get some amazing portrait shots too!

If you’re looking for a photographer to photograph lots of formal group shots, to have you posing like catalogue models or both of you peeking around an old oak tree, I’m probably not the photographer for you. Of course, I’m more than happy to capture the formal family shots – it’s probably one of the only times you have your entire family together, but I get these done as quickly and efficiently as I can leaving you more time to spend with your nearest and dearest.

Wedding photography is such a personal choice. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, and what works well for one couple, may not work at all for another. Your wedding photographs are all that’s left of your special day after the cake has been eaten, the dress put away and the honeymoon enjoyed. Your wedding photographs are your memories, so it’s crucial to choose the photographer who best suits your style and the way you would like your wedding to be captured.

The majority of weddings I shoot, I am with the couple from dawn till dusk, so it’s really important that you choose someone who you are comfortable with, and someone you feel relaxed around. Your photographer will get to know your family and friends and learn all about the dynamics of your wedding day – this why I like to meet with all of my couples before their wedding – to learn more about you and your relationship, and the type of wedding you’re planning!
