About me

a no-nonsense Doncaster-based wedding photographer
Hi, I’m Mark, a no-nonsense Doncaster-based Yorkshire wedding photographer with a documentary approach to wedding photography. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been the kid with the camera in his hands (we’re talking an Instamatic camera loaded with Polaroid’s in the ’80s) so my journey to become a professional photographer was inevitable.
My photography journey really began eight years ago when a good friend of mine asked me to shoot their wedding. From that day on I’d caught the bug, and I’ve since spent the last eight years studying the photography world and developing my skill set as a documentary-style photographer. Along the way, I’ve had three incredible children, all of whom have become the subject of my art form (whether they liked it or not), and I have my girls to thank for developing my passion for capturing true, honest and heart-warming moments.
Over 300 Weddings and still going!
Today I’ve shot over 300 weddings and find myself travelling up and down the UK and overseas capturing candid moments and heartfelt blessings between couples from all walks of life.
A career highlight for me was capturing an Italian wedding in Umbria last year and I’m keen to continue travelling far and wide to expose myself to new wedding destinations. When I’m not capturing weddings you’ll usually find me enjoying my second passion, street photography – a creative art form that has greatly influenced my wedding work over the years. 6 fast facts about me
Qualified Chef
As a fully qualifiedchef, cooking is in my blood! My girls and I love family nights where we recreate our favorite take-out dishes while tuning into music from the cuisine’s country. It’s like taking your taste buds on a world tour, one bite at a time
House Music
My love for house music is matched only by my vinyl collection (1993-1998). It all began during my early ‘90s days in Ibiza, where I lived and worked on the Island.
Mountain Biking
There’s something magical about flying down a trail, feeling the wind and the rush of the ride—it’s my ultimate escape.
Running
I’ve completed my first half marathon, and I’m in no rush to do another—unless they start offering massages at every mile marker.
Grey Hairs
I’ve got some grey hairs now, but they’re taking over faster than I can find matching socks
love to travel
I’ve had the privilege of traveling to some of the world’s most beautiful destinations — Morocco, Thailand, Greece, and beyond — each place offering its unique charm and challenges, and each wedding telling a story of love in a different way.
