I first met Marcus and Sofia at their friend’s wedding in North Yorkshire, where I was the photographer. After seeing my wedding photos from that magical day—and a few emails later—I was thrilled to be booked for their incredible destination wedding in Italy, spanning four unforgettable days.

A Dreamy Wedding Venue in Umbria, Italy
The chosen venue was the breathtaking Castello di Titignano, a historic castle nestled atop a picturesque hill in the heart of Umbria. Surrounded by medieval stone buildings and rolling vineyards, this fairytale location felt like an Italian version of the Yorkshire Dales. Conveniently, Sofia’s family home was just a short 20-minute drive away, making it the perfect spot for their celebration.
The wedding festivities began well before the ceremony, with guests enjoying a variety of activities the day before. From football and yoga to poolside games, there was no shortage of fun and laughter. And of course, in true Italian fashion, the food was an absolute highlight—fresh bread, vibrant salads, and authentic homemade dishes that looked as incredible as they tasted. Italian WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY CAPTURED IN A CREATIVE WAY…
The wedding ceremony itself was nothing short of magical. Held outdoors in a secluded woodland clearing at around 4 PM—just as the afternoon heat softened—it created the most romantic atmosphere. As Sofia made her way down the aisle, holding her father’s arm and glowing with excitement, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. With heartfelt readings from her sister and best friend, Marcus and Sofia officially became husband and wife!
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the castle’s beautiful courtyard for al fresco reception drinks. A live Italian band set the mood with acoustic classics, giving the entire evening a relaxed yet celebratory feel.
Marcus & Sofia’s wedding was not just a union of two people, but a beautiful celebration of love, family, and friendship. Many of their closest friends played a role in the day, from singing with the live band to DJing at the underground vault after-party—yes, their castle had underground party vaults, and it was as cool as it sounds!
To make this wedding even more special, Marcus’s mum lovingly handcrafted all the wedding florals that very morning, with a little help from Marcus’s brother’s girlfriend. The attention to detail and personal touches throughout the day made it a truly unforgettable occasion.
