When Deana and Matthew asked me to shoot their wedding day, I gladly accepted the booking. The happy couple were to be married in Cornwall a place where I’ve since learnt they spend a lot of their family holidays together enjoying the fantastic cornish coastline and countryside and everything else Cornwall has to offer. A cornish wedding this is going to be awesome I thought and I wasn’t disappointed! The day started out at the exclusive Lantallack Estate where Deana’s bridal preparations were well under way, the ceremony itself was beautifully carried out in an old rustic barn complete with hay bales and a clay chiminea wood burner giving this ceremony a real romantic feel. The formal and group shots were taken swiftly and then it was the bride and grooms time to be together. The venue itself has some fantastic views across the cornish countryside so finding locations to take photographs of the happy couple was a joy. Then it was onto the reception, a short 15 minute car ride led us all to the View restaurant, perched up high on the cornish coast. A three course meal followed (the fillet steak was amazing). The speeches followed providing the guests with tears and laughter. Just before sunset, I managed to whisk the couple down to the beach to take some more photographs. I found a rocky peninsula jutting out into the sea, perfect! Thirty minutes later I had them back at the venue ready for the first dance. For me the day was awesome, loved every minute of it. 10 pm soon came around so with a double expresso downed in one, it was back off to Doncaster. The six hour drive home didn’t faze me, I was still on a high from this amazing wedding day.!!! Thankyou Mr and Mrs Sammut for letting me be part of your special day Mark.
