STYLE AND APPROACH
While I am a documentary photographer with a contemporary approach and a creative flair, I don’t want to pigeon hole myself to a particular style or restrict my creativity. For me, my primary goal is to capture the essence of the day honestly and tellingly. I take photos of exactly what unfolds in front of me, people being human and moments of true feeling.
Will I still take group shots? Sure, I’m not opposed to group shots as I know they’re special keepsakes for some members of the wedding party but I prefer to keep them quick so I can return to capturing the candid moments of the day. Will I take amazing portrait photos of you and your loved one? Absolutely, but again my goal is to really capture the essence of the day as it unfolds naturally, whether that’s Uncle so-and-so sneaking another drink in before the ceremony or a quiet moment between bride and groom, I’m always on the lookout for something unique to capture.
Creating your dream Wedding day
I‘m also aware of the time, effort, and money that’s gone into creating your dream day and I’m conscious that some members of your wedding party may have gone the extra mile, particularly when it comes to visuals and the decor. That’s why you’ll usually find me snapping pictures of the delicious-treats made by a family friend, or the wonky bunting hung by dad, who perhaps didn’t quite listen to mum’s instructions. I’m also a big fan of the larger detail, like the rip-roaring party that takes place when the dance floor reveals itself or the friends playing drinking games as the speeches take place.
In short, I pride myself on my down to earth approach, my ability to seamlessly blend in with the guests, and my enthusiasm to over-deliver at every wedding.
